I like Poulan products but this mower has turned out to be a lemon and has a design flaw in the transmission. I bought the mower new in April. It worked fine until the grass started to get thicker. The automatic transmission cannot handle the load and begins to grind it's gears - as if the clutch is not engaging. Then, the deck level setting bracket broke - cheap plastic. From a google search, it appears this problem is common with this mower. The manual transmission model may be fine - but don't buy the automatic transmission model.
